Think again. In paintball, being a sniper is not about staying away from danger and shooting from obscene distance. Lets face it, the paintball marker is not like a sniper rifle.
Your average paintball marker would have an effective range of about 100 feet. Any further than that, your paint arc will start to drop and obviously missing your target.
What does this mean for a paintball sniper then? It means you need to have sneak right up to your enemies without being noticed and effectively take out all of them.
It means you need to brush up on your stealth movements and also your camouflage gear. You need to be able to have confidence with your surroundings and able to control your trigger happy finger. Lets admit it … once you start shooting, you will give out your position so it’s vital that your shot makes a kill for you or else you’re roast.
It means having full confidence in your team to provide you with cover and distraction while you do your job. Do you have what it takes to be a paintball sniper?
